Crafting a seamless user interface and ensuring an intuitive user experience was crucial for the success of such a platform. Below, we delve into key UI/UX design choices that cater to the specific needs of Basetool Booking.

The challenge
As the lead designer at Basetool, I took on the challange of accommodating events, services, and products within a unified design without compromising clarity. Focusing on designing a booking flow that was both streamlined and informative to guide users efficiently.
Branding
The visual identity is characterized by uncluttered layouts and a purposeful use of white space. Whether it's events, services, or products, I employed visual cues and strategic placement to draw the user's attention to what matters most—seamless booking opportunities.
The brand developed over time by stripping images back to a clean, minimalistic tone that highlighted our bookable content and presenters above all else.

At first glance users are greeted with an immersive experience that caters to their diverse interests, offering a curated selection of what is popular now, new bookings, and events happening today, all presented in various engaging formats. Aiding users on their booking journey is category browsing. Clear and concise text, coupled with distinctive icons that serve as visual cues, aiding users in swiftly identifying and selecting their preferred category.
Managing & finding bookings
Empowering users with a personalized profile page that centralizes their booking experience and provides a seamless interface for managing their journey were key. Managing current bookings, browsing previous bookings, cancelling orders and profile managment in an easy way were all key problems that needed to be solved. Navigating Basetool Booking is easy with the intuitive search function where users can seamlessly find exactly what they're looking for, whether it's a specific category, date, or a combination of both.
Basetool Booking's Discover Page
Embark on a journey of curated discovery with Basetool Booking's vibrant and dynamic Discover Page. Designed to inspire and captivate users, this feature is a curated showcase of carefully selected bookings, categorized by popularity, upcoming events, and more. Focus on the product together with clear pricing details, high-resolution images and primary action buttons. Seamless interaction is facilitated by strategically placed primary action buttons, enabling users to explore, book, or find more details with a single click.
Rich presenter profiles
The goal of the presenter profile page was to help the presenters market their content, including any upcoming events or rentable items. Designing a well-organized layout that presents essential information about the presenter with the bookable content in focus was key.
User-friendly listing pages
With so many bookable events and services, it was crucial to present the information in a manner that's both comprehensive and user-friendly. Recognizing the limited screen space on mobile devices, users can easily toggle between the booking category listing and the map view, ensuring they have a full-screen experience for each section without compromising on functionality.
Booking service
Booking an event with Basetool Booking is designed to be effortlessly intuitive, even though it is quite complex. Users are greeted with an Availability Calendar with detailed time slots and clear time indications. Live updates on the number of remaining slots add a sense of urgency and assist users in securing their spots promptly.
Various ticket options cater to diverse preferences. This is where ticket types come in. Through an intuitive interface, users can choose from different tickets with flexible pricing, including distinctions between adult and child pricing. This ensures that users can personalize their booking based on the composition of their group, be it a family outing or an adult-only event.
A detailed summary reiterates the selected date, time, ticket types and pricing details. Users can review and change their choices and ensure everything aligns with their preferences before proceeding to secure payment.
Renting service
A visually appealing calendar interface takes center stage, displaying blocks of time representing product or service availability. Users can easily navigate through the calendar, exploring different dates to find the most convenient time for their rental. The dynamic display of available slots provides users with an instant understanding of when the product or service is accessible.
By implementing QR code technology, users are ensured access to rented services or ticketed events is not only secure but also convenient. The thoughtful UI/UX design choices make the process straightforward and reliable, enhancing the users overall booking experience.
