Relaxing accommodation on the outermost quay in Marstrand before the sea takes over.
Introduction
Less than 1 hour from Gothenburg you will find Marstrands Havshotell, a spa hotel on Sweden's west coast. Here you will experience relaxing accommodation, surprising food and a salty spa. On top of that, closeness to the sea and the rocks mixed in with old fashion regional traditions.

The challenge
As the lead designer I took on the challange of creating a seamless and enjoyable experience for guests throughout their stay, while staying true to the natural beauty and atmosphere which makes the spa hotel a must visit.
Branding
The color palette was chosen to reflect the natural surroundings of the archipelago, with muted and calming colors that create a serene and relaxing atmosphere. The typography was chosen to be modern and easy to read, ensuring that users can quickly and easily access the information they need.
Digital Art Direction
One of my key responsibilities was to create the digital art direction and usability for Marstrands Havshotell. The design approach is focused on creating a calming and peaceful atmosphere that complements the natural beauty of the surrounding environment. From the color scheme to the typography, every aspect of the design has been carefully chosen to enhance the guest experience.
A clean and straightforward design is essential for a relaxing and stress-free experience, and I have incorporated this philosophy into every aspect of the UI design process. Navigation is intuitive and streamlined, making it easy for guests to quickly find the information they need, whether it's booking a room or exploring the hotel's amenities.

Overall, the UI/UX design choices for the spa hotel on the Swedish archipelago were designed to provide a seamless and visually appealing experience for users looking to book rooms and spa treatments. The design aimed to showcase the hotel's amenities in a way that reflects the natural beauty of the archipelago while providing users with an intuitive and easy-to-use interface.
Focus on natural beauty
The design for the product pages, packages and offers put the focus on the natural beauty of Marstrand by removing unnecessary elements and giving the natural elements ample space to shine. A clean and miminalistic approach. The end result is a simple and elegant design that puts the products and natural elements at the forefront.
